Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

HaridwarCity (“the Platform”) is an independent digital business directory and listing platform for Haridwar, Uttarakhand, operated by Sumit Kumar. By creating an account, submitting a business listing, or otherwise using the HaridwarCity website or mobile app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Nature of the Service

HaridwarCity is a directory and listing platform only. We connect customers with local businesses by publishing business profiles (“visiting cards”) submitted by business owners. HaridwarCity is not a party to any transaction, booking, sale, or agreement between a customer and a listed business, and does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, or legality of any listed business, product, or service.

3. Account Registration & OTP Verification

  • Registering an account requires OTP verification of your mobile number. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
  • One account may be used to submit or claim more than one business listing.
  • You must provide accurate, current information when registering and when submitting a business listing. Providing false information may result in listing rejection or account suspension.

4. Business Listings & Approval

  • A business listing submitted by an owner is reviewed by our admin team before it becomes publicly visible (“pending” status). We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, including listings that are inaccurate, misleading, duplicate, or otherwise inappropriate for the Platform, without prior notice.
  • Listings created directly by our admin team (for businesses that have not yet registered) may be published immediately and can later be claimed by the actual business owner via OTP verification of the listing’s own contact number.
  • Editing an already-approved listing sends it back for re-review before the changes go live again.
  • By submitting a business listing, you confirm you are authorized to represent that business and that all submitted details (name, contact number, email, address, description, category, and any social/profile links) are accurate.

5. Public Display of Listing Information

By submitting or claiming a business listing, you explicitly consent to the public display of the contact number, email, address, and any social/profile links included in that listing — this is a core function of the directory and does not require separate confirmation for each display. This consent applies for as long as the listing remains active on the Platform and may be withdrawn only by requesting removal of the listing itself.

6. Business Claiming

An unclaimed listing (added by our admin team without a linked owner account) may be claimed by verifying, via OTP, that you control the phone number listed as that business’s own contact number. A successful claim links the listing to your account and gives you the ability to edit it. HaridwarCity is not responsible for disputes between multiple parties claiming ownership of the same business; in such cases we may request supporting proof of ownership before resolving the claim.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or claims
  • Impersonate another person or business, or claim a listing that is not yours
  • Use the Platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or engage in fraud
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account, and to remove any listing, at our sole discretion, if we believe these Terms have been violated or the Platform is being misused — without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect other users or the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

HaridwarCity is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from your interaction with a listed business, the accuracy of listing content, or any transaction conducted outside the Platform as a result of information found on it.

10. Intellectual Property

The HaridwarCity name, logo, and platform design are the property of HaridwarCity. Business owners retain ownership of the content they submit but grant HaridwarCity a license to display it on the Platform as part of their listing.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Uttarakhand, India.
